I have 30 years of successful experience as a certified public school band director in the Chicago area. I have a masters degree in music as well. My bands have received first division and superior ratings throughout the Midwest, and I received a "Key Contributor" award from my school. Tambor Chicago is focused on promoting the proliferation of Afro-Cuban folkloric music to diverse audiences. We offer private studies, group classes, and full length performance showcasing Afro-Cuban drumming, song, and dance. Our lessons cover conga, bongo, bata, timbales, drum set, and more. Come learn these complex instruments with down-to-Earth teaching to meet your own pace and goals.

Hands on experience with live performance as well as studio sessions. Over twenty years working within the music industry and over fifteen years of touring experience. I am well versed in percussion/drums, bass guitar, turntables, and music production. I enjoy the look on someones face when they learn something musically and get excited about that moment of the experience.
